HAPPY EASTER!
Buona Pasqua!
¡Feliz Pascua!
Joyeuses Pâques!
No matter what your language, Easter is a wonderful day! Christ has risen as He said! The world’s made new, sin and death have no power over us any more! This beautiful stained glass window from our church (beautifully photographed by parishioner Richard L. Ferland) expresses the wonder of Christ rising from the tomb. After truly dying for our sins, Christ is raised from the sleep of death by the Father’s love. His disciples look on in faith; one soldier sees and believes, while the other soldier turns his head away from the glory, refusing to accept this supernatural gift. Who shall we be? The faithful disciple who sees God’s miracles and meditates upon them in faith? The soldier who lacked faith but is converted? Or the soldier who sees what the other two see but refuses to accept the evidence of his own eyes? Who we shall become after our encounter with the Resurrected Lord in this Easter Mass will depend on how we decide to follow Him tomorrow. And next Sunday. May each of us, transformed by this miracle, become each day more deeply aware of our need to follow the Lord through this world and into the Kingdom that awaits us!
May God bless you,
Fr. Jim Clark and Fr. Patrick Armano
